Universal Store
From our humble beginnings as a suburban unisex clothing store in 1999, we've grown to more than 100 stores nationally and now deliver the latest in apparel to customers around the world through our thriving online store. Our team carefully curates a mix of local and international labels, working collaboratively to develop exclusive styles and collections that give our customers head-to-toe outfitting options for every occasion.
Today, we're proud to be recognised as one of Australia's leading youth-fashion retailers. We've built and grown brands such as Neovision, Common Need, Luck & Trouble, and Worship, and we continue to partner with global favourites including Lee, Wrangler, AS Colour, Calvin Klein, Stussy and Abrand. As our business has expanded, we've welcomed the Perfect Stranger and Thrills Co brands into our portfolio, allowing us to offer an even broader range of fits, styles and pieces that reflect the diversity of our customer base.

You'll manage a diverse team, ensuring high-quality, timely technical outcomes across all major enterprise platforms such as WMS, ERP, BI, data warehousing, and cloud infrastructure.
Success in this role relies on strong collaboration with stakeholders who work closely with these systems, fostering a cooperative approach to solution design and system enhancement. With oversight of all non-customer-facing technology, you'll guide platform stability, integration, and growth, driving the evolution of the business' technology backbone and supporting operational excellence at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery, optimisation, and ongoing stability of core enterprise systems including WMS, ERP, BI platforms, data warehousing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team of developers, analysts, and cloud specialists, ensuring high performance, strong collaboration, and consistent standards.
- Oversee system analysis, solution design, and documentation to ensure well-integrated, scalable, and business-aligned outcomes.
- Ensure best-practice coding, testing, and release processes across the team, supporting QA and UAT and resolving post-deployment issues.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and Product Owners to understand business processes and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Maintain a forward-looking enterprise systems roadmap, identifying risks, dependencies, and required changes in a timely manner.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee upgrade cycles to ensure SLAs, security compliance, and platform reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement across enterprise platforms, identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, integration, and functionality.
- Ensure all documentation, system decisions, and processes are kept current and accessible, supporting business continuity and knowledge sharing.
- Uphold regulatory, security, and workplace safety compliance across all enterprise systems and team operations.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, with extensive experience across enterprise systems including ERP, WMS, cloud platforms, and data-driven environments.
- 10+ years in the industry, including 5+ years managing technical teams, with a strong track record delivering medium-to-large cross-functional enterprise projects.
- Strong programming capability and deep hands-on experience in cloud development, systems integration, and enterprise architecture.
- Proven ability to modernise platforms through proactive technical-debt reduction and consolidation of legacy systems.
- Key behavioural strengths including attention to detail, problem-solving, interpersonal effectiveness, strong teamwork, and a focus on critical information seeking.
What We Offer:
- A vibrant, collaborative workplace culture with a supportive and growth-driven leadership team
- Hybrid working arrangements, with flexibility to work from home and our Support Office
- A modern, purpose-built Support Office with generous facilities and free on-site parking
- Exclusive staff discounts across our brands, plus access to partner deals and offers through Flare
- Salary sacrificing and novated leasing options
- Paid parental leave
- Wellbeing support through Sonder and regular wellness initiatives
- Regular social events and team activities
